The South Moravian Innovation Centre (JIC) needed a modern presentation website to improve the user experience and enable extensive content management and third-party integrations.

The South Moravian Innovation Centre (JIC) supports entrepreneurs and companies that change the world through innovation. For its new website, JIC wanted not only a modern visual identity but also functionality that the old site, built on a proprietary admin interface, could not offer, such as A/B testing, content personalisation, bookings, user management, and integrations with external systems. The goal was to create a playful and intuitive website appealing to diverse target groups, from students to the international professional community.

The new JIC website delivers a clear brand identity, intuitive navigation for different audiences, and advanced features that streamline both operations and user communication.

The challenge

The challenge was to replace the outdated proprietary admin solution with a robust platform allowing full content management, personalisation, fast loading times, and complex integrations with multiple third-party systems, including CRM, ERP, and a payment gateway. It was necessary to align the import of hundreds of pages, migrate extensive data without losses, ensure secure connections with external services, and build a user section with controlled access for different user types.

How we solved it

We implemented Kentico 12 MVC and developed custom widgets enabling easy editing and content creation without dependency on the vendor. We migrated hundreds of pages using a custom importer and integrated the website with CRM, ERP K2, Microsoft Exchange, and the Comgate payment gateway. We also introduced the JIC+ user section and five types of forms connected to internal systems. The entire project began with a detailed UX prototype that helped align the complex content with diverse target groups.

The new website enables JIC to fully manage content, personalise it, and run A/B tests. Visitors gain access to clear information, booking options, and the JIC+ user section. Integrations with key systems streamlined internal processes and significantly accelerated site performance. The new website is ready for further development and expansion, including projects such as KUMST, adding new language versions, or connecting to new services.
